Here at South Wind OncologyAssociates, we provide Medical Oncology expertise in managing malignancies with biological, immunological, hormonal, targeted and chemotherapy. We partner with the St. Catherine Hospital's Radiation Oncology department to provide all the skills necessary to treat your cancer. Information contained in this website is inclusive of services provided by both South Wind Oncology Associates and St. Catherine Hospital.

Dr. Everard H. Hughes and Dr. Surendra Verma and their friendly staff provide compassionate and professional care to their patients on a full time basis here in western Kansas.

Why travel long distances over Kansas or the United States for your cancer care?

Time spent traveling to unfamiliar places may be better utilized focusing on healing at home where you
can be near relatives and friends.

South Wind Oncology Associates offers up to date treatment protocols including chemotherapy, immunotherapy, hormonal and biological therapies for all adult cancers.

Research is not for everyone. However, if you choose to participate in a clinical trial we can facilitate your referral to the research institution of your choice. After the initial consultation with the participating institution, depending on the clinical trial guidelines, we may be able to provide the recommended treatment at South Wind Oncology Associates.

Many of our patients are referred back to our community from MD Anderson, UCLA, the University of Nebraska, and the Mayo Clinic to receive the recommended treatments at home. This collaboration in determining standard and research protocols has allowed patients who live in the High Plains the choice
and flexibility of staying close to family, friends, support, and the community they love.
